The place is very convenient – right next to the pool, across the road from cafes and restaurants in Plaza Roja and a 5min walk from El Medano beach. It was the perfect place to crash after a big day at the beach and visiting El Teide!

Die Wohnung war sauber und gepflegt, modern eingerichtet und es war alles vorhanden, wie beschrieben. Dennoch müssen wir einen Stern abziehen, da zwarTV vorhanden war, aber kein SAT und wir nur spanisches Fernsehen empfangen konnten. Das war schade, aber wir haben das ein wenig mit einem LapTop ausgleichen können. Wir würden die Wohnung jederzeit an einen Freund weiter empfehlen.

When we looked at the photos of this apartment, we thought ‘this is too good to be true, what’s the catch?’. On arriving, Marisha was waiting at the apartment. She showed us around and talked us through the necessary information: keys, wi-fi code, etc. We didn’t need to trouble her for anything else during our stay. When she left, we had a more detailed look around… and I very quickly dubbed it ‘The Mary Poppins Apartment’. Why? Because it was ‘practically perfect in every way’! Location: just to the far side (east side) of Plaza Roja, which is the start of the main part of the resort, so you are a minute’s walk from amenities. The apartment is also very light and bright. There are real light bulbs and not those dreadful energy efficient things that so many apartment owners love to use. In addition to the main lighting, some extra spotlights have been put in, which is a nice and welcome touch. Size: plenty big enough for us two. I believe the sofa may also be a bed, but for me the apartment is not quite big enough for four. Facilities: newly refurbished, beautiful bathroom, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, etc. I want to show balance and find a downside, which is difficult. But an extractor fan in the bathroom would have been nice. And the shower head could have been a bit higher. Let’s just say I bent over backwards to get clean! Bedroom: THE most comfortable double bed in a rented apartment with its memory foam mattress! Plenty of wardrobe and shelf space, a chest of drawers and even a study desk complete with lamp. Pillows could be a wee bit bigger if I am being picky. Terrace: one each side! The front terrace is an absolute suntrap. If you know El Médano, you will know it hosts the world kite surf championships, so it can be pretty windy. And we spent many happy hours soaking up the rays (but not the gusts) on the terrace, whilst slaving over vodkas and coke… Pool (and entire complex): scrupulously clean and beautifully maintained. The pool area is cleaned daily. We didn’t use it, to be fair, but it is very attractive and we have earmarked it for next time. I could pick holes in it if I wanted to, and I’m sure some may. The ‘perfect’ apartment will be different for everybody. But for us, this one was practically perfect. We would definitely rent this apartment again!

On arrival in El Medano we were met by Marisha who showed us around the apartment and how to use the wifi, tv etc. This apartment is literally 2 minutes walk from the sea front, harbour, restaurants, shops, bars, bus stop, play area and town centre. The apartment itself is perfectly proportioned with a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen diner and also a sofa bed, on the patio at the back there is a table and chairs overlooking the pool and large sunbathing area which is kept in excellent condition by the daily maintenance people, this area is accessed via your own private gated area. Out the front there is a terrace with a sun lounger, chairs and sun shade/umbrella and a small garden. The sun on this terrace in the afternoon early evening is full on. The bathroom is modern with a decent shower over bath and modern sink and loo. In the kitchen there is everything you could possibly need, hob and full oven, a microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and even a washing machine and enough pots and pans to cook literally anything, dining table and four chairs and a TV although no English channels. The bed linen and towels are plentiful and having a washing machine means you can have fresh linen everyday if you want it. Marisha was available via WhatsApp, text or phone should you have a problem or need anything. I would recommend this property as the perfect location with all you could wish for.
